Your role at Clorox:
The role assists the Management Accountant in providing services to various functions across the organization, predominantly to Finance, Product Supply Group and Marketing. Key areas of focus for this role include internal as well as external reporting requirements - inventory and warehouse reporting, product costings, systems maintenance, cost savings, Budgeting and Forecasting for TDC, SOX and audit requirements and supporting P&A team in any ad-hoc work.
The Assistant Management Accountant is also required to attend various internal meetings and is expected to be able to communicate to various levels of management to help drive meaningful commercial outcomes by providing insight on various matters that impact TDC and process improvements.
In this role, you will:
- Maintain data integrity of inventory master in NetSuite (ERP) and other systems:
Set up and maintaining inventory codes (i.e., inventory, Assembly Items, packaging and marketing products)
Set up and review of Bill of Materials for manufacturing products. Determine correct labour cost as part of the BOM.
Ensuring critical fields are correct and comply with the inventory creation guide
Analyzing inventory valuation, investigating errors and providing solutions. Ensure the integrity of the inventory values
Monthly inventory reconciliation and analysis between reporting systems
Assist the Management accountant with the monitoring of obsolete stock and slow-moving products
Maintenance of product master data in Forecasting system (i.e., Adaptive)
Month-end preparation, reconciliation and analysis of key GL accounts and journals. This includes but is not limited to manufacturing overheads, shipping on cost, FX & PPV variance and fixed warehousing expenses, complete tracking at shipment level.
Prepare the pack for actuals and forecast for the Glad Joint Venture to discuss with the Management Accountant (quarterly)
Work with the Warehouse Manager to ensure audit and reporting requirements are satisfied. Prepare adjustments in NetSuite as required (i.e., quantity variances, inventory variances, write-offs). Complete monthly WMS variances vs GL in collaboration with the Warehouse Manager. Explain variances that impact the P&L.
Business partner with the Global Strategic Sourcing Group, Sales and Marketing Team to prepare costings of new products as well as analysis of current costs for opportunity and cost savings assessments
Load actual, forecast and budget data into various systems monthly / quarterly / annually with post checks performed
Assist the Management Accountant & P&A Manager with the preparation of Quarterly Forecasts, Annual Budget and LRP Process. Key areas include product costing, manufacturing overheads, and costing variance analysis
Systems maintenance for Power BI, NetSuite, Essbase and new Planning tool. This includes product, scenario, new customers, new hierarchy creation.
Assist the Management Accountant & P&A Manager with any ad-hoc work including audits
What we look for:
Management reporting experience
Intermediate Power BI maintenance
Proficient in NetSuite modules inventory and manufacturing
Strong Excel skills
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Solid interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work on cross-functional activities and form solid business relationships with key stakeholders
Ability to take ownership of issues and ensure timely resolution
Strong working knowledge of PC applications (Microsoft Office preferred)
Autonomous and ability to work with limited supervision
Experience with Hyperion Essbase and analytics tools are an advantage (desirable)
FMCG industry experience is an advantage
