***THIS IS A KALGOORLIE BASED RESIDENTIAL POSITION****
As a Poly Fabricator, you must be competent in using various welding equipment while following safety precautions. Knowledge of different kinds of HDPE and their properties is essential. The ideal candidate will have a steady hand, great attention to detail, good communication skills be able to collaborate effectively in a team environment and work autonomously when required.
TASK AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Weld poly pipelines across various mine sites and construction sites.
- Install associated fittings and valves.
- Reading and understanding schematics, technical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Verifying dimensions and product specifications.
- Ensure that all the required parts for assembly are present.
- Determining the required tools, materials and welding methods.
- Preparing working materials by cutting, clamping and tacking.
- Examining complete welds to ensure they’re free of defects, smooth and functional.
- Pipework flushing and pressure testing.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Operate earthmoving machinery when required.
- Inspecting and maintaining materials, equipment and tools
- Observing and following safety regulations.
- Complete daily paperwork.
- Attend pre-starts and toolbox talks.
- Shut down work and workshop duties.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have at least 3 years relevant experience with Technodue and Dixon machines up to 630mm.
- Must have current Butt Weld, Electrofusion and Extrusion qualifications.
- Must have a current driver's license.
- Must have a white card.
- Must have confined space ticket.
- Must have working at heights ticket.
- Current pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol. (within 3 months).
- Current National Police Clearance (within 6 months).
- Excellent technical skills and the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Knowledge and experience with welding equipment and processes.
- Good communication skills.
- Good dexterity.
- Attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills.
- Desirable: Chainsaw ticket.
- Desirable: Plant operator tickets e.g. Forklift, Excavator, Loader, Skid steer, etc

Pay: $75,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
