EGANS is seeking dedicated and hardworking Commercial Office Removalists to join our expanding team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient removal, transportation, and installation of office furniture, equipment, and supplies for a diverse range of commercial clients.
We are looking for individuals who are reliable, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and committed to delivering high-quality service. While prior experience in removals, installations, or a supervisory role is highly regarded, we also welcome candidates with backgrounds in hospitality or other dynamic industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Packing, Loading & Unloading: Safely pack, load, and unload office furniture, equipment, and supplies onto trucks, ensuring all items are secure and handled with care.
- Effective Communication: Work collaboratively with your team members and maintain professional communication with clients, ensuring their needs are met and concerns addressed.
- Safe Transportation: Ensure the safe transport of office items to new locations, adhering to all company safety protocols.
- Furniture Setup: Assemble and arrange office furniture and equipment at the new site according to client specifications.
- Work Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, both in the truck and at client sites.
Supplementary Responsibilities:
- Furniture Installation: Construct, deconstruct and reassemble commercial office furniture and workstation systems.
- Environmental Asset Recycling: Dismantle office furniture and equipment to split-recycle into several waste streams and avoid landfill where possible.
- IT / PC Disconnection and Reconnection: Unplug, pack and re-setup IT systems in commercial office environments during the course of client relocations.
Requirements:
- Physical Fitness & Stamina: The role involves manual labour; including lifting, moving, and assembling office furniture. Candidates must be physically fit and able to handle the physical demands of the job.
- Teamwork: The ability to work efficiently as part of a team, following instructions and contributing to a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Communication & Customer Service: Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-oriented attitude are essential. You will frequently interact with clients and team members, so the ability to communicate effectively is key.
- Safety Commitment: Attention to detail and a commitment to safe work practices are critical to ensuring the safety of both the team and client assets.
Additional Considerations:
- Driver’s License: A valid driver's license or access to reliable transportation is essential.
- White Card (Construction Induction Card): Highly desirable for candidates who may work on construction or renovation sites.
- Working with Children Check: An advantage, particularly for candidates who may be involved in relocations at schools or child care facilities.
- Police Check: An advantage, particularly for candidates who may be involved in relocations at government facilities.
