UGL Defence has recently been awarded the contract to manage the Defence fuel related Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance. As a result of expanding scope of works within UGL’s portfolio, we are seeking expression of interest from experienced Operating Agents / Fuel Operators to join our Operations & Maintenance team at the Edinburgh RAAF Base in SA. This would be an exciting and unique opportunity to work in the Australia Defence environment to support the national security requirements of the Nation. The Role Led by an Operations Supervisor, the following role will be based at RAAF Edinburgh, South Australia supporting several fuel installations sites in the region. - This permanent position will see you work Monday – Friday 38 hours per week. - The permanent rate for this position is $44.72 per hour + superannuation. (OA) Operating Agent - Ground - Previous experience working bulk fuel management or defence fuels is essential - Manage the safe storage and handling of fuels and fuel related products - Responsible for ensuring day to day product integrity requirements of the DFI - Manage the conduct of all required FQC sampling and testing - Administer the implementation of and ongoing compliance of the DFI - Performing operational functions within the DFI - Responsible for security, environmental and emergency management of the DFI - Review daily, weekly & monthly reporting for accuracy, investigate deviations - Monitor training & competency requirements for DFI Operators to achieve & maintain base compliance. - Various tasks to maintain facilities and base assets - Ensure adequate records are maintained in the system - Liaise with Defence personnel, Management, suppliers, and the general public as required - Responsible for storage, packaging and disposal of Dangerous Goods - including hazardous materials - Excellent time management - Strong organisational skills in planning and scheduling - Strong communication - both written & oral presentation skills What you will Need - Along with experience relevant to each role above, you will be a strong team player, a self-starter and dedicated employee.
