Currently, we are in partnership with a Victorian agency dedicated to emergency services, undertaking a significant program of work to optimise its People and Culture (P&C) processes.
As a Senior Project Manager/Change Manager, you will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and completing these process optimisation initiatives.This role offers an initial 8 month contract and requires 1-2 days a week onsite presence in Blackburn North Vic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop a comprehensive roadmap and sprint plan to guide the project to success
- Team Management: Lead and coordinate a team of P&C subject matter experts, fostering collaboration and ensuring efficient delivery
- Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and develop robust mitigation strategies
- Stakeholder Communication: Engage with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns
- Change Management: Ensure the teams are effectively engaged throughout the project to minimise resistance to change and maximise adoption of new processes
- Workshop Facilitation: Lead workshops to gather requirements and inform the broader P&C transformation program
Requirements
About You:
- You are a proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a drive for results
- You are a collaborative team player with exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- You thrive in dynamic environments and adapt readily to evolving project requirements
Essential:
- Minimum of eight years experience in a project management and organisational change management role
- Strong expertise in change management frameworks and methodologies
- Proven experience in stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution
- Ability to work in complex environments and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of project management and Agile methodologies
Desirable:
- Experience working on government or health sector projects
- Background in Information Technology (IT) transformations
- Change management certification (e.g., Prosci)
- Tertiary qualifications in Organisational Change Management or a related field
