Role Overview:
As a Carpenter at Be Floored, you will play a crucial role in our project delivery team. You will be responsible for executing a range of carpentry tasks, ensuring that all projects meet our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. You will work closely with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget, contributing to the overall success of our business.
About You:
● Demonstrated experience as a carpenter
● Advanced knowledge of tools and carpentry techniques
● The ability to grasp the objectives and goals of projects
● Willingness to travel for work when necessary
● Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and in a team
● A can-do attitude, a passion for learning, and adaptability to change
Key Responsibilities:
● Measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and other materials to specified measurements
● Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim
● Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
● Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients
● Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes
● Assist in the layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining of various structures, fixtures, and buildings
● Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment
● Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards
● Collaborate with other construction professionals and team members to achieve project goals
● Provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and safe work environment
Skills and Experience
● 2-3 years of experience in carpentry.
● Demonstrated expertise in using carpentry tools and equipment.
● Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
● Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
● Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
● Strong teamwork and communication skills.
● Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Qualification / Education
● Cert III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
● Applicants with substantial experience in carpentry will also be considered.
