QBuild is expanding! Join us for an exciting career opportunity as a Senior Superintendent’s Representative to provide a high level of contract administration services in accordance with all relevant standards.
QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.
About The Role
You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by ensuring that both party obligations under the contracts are appropriately fulfilled.
Duties And Skills
- Monitor and enforce contractual obligations of all parties, ensuring obligations are met fairly and in accordance with legal and policy frameworks.
- Conduct regular site inspections, manage site meetings, issue variation orders, assess claims, and process requests for information, ensuring project delivery aligns with contract terms and Building Act compliance.
- Provide expert advice to assist the Superintendent in resolving disputes, ensuring thorough contract administration and adherence to procedures.
- Implement contract administration policies, post-contract performance evaluation systems, and ensure data is accurately reported to the Pre-Qualified Contractor Register.
- Act as a liaison between clients and project teams, addressing cost, time, and quality concerns to maintain project efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Provide guidance and direction to Superintendent's Representatives and support staff, enhancing their contract management skills and ensuring optimal team performance.
Preferred Skills And Experience
- Knowledge of contract administration processes associated with traditional and non-traditional contracts.
- Experience in administering government building contracts is highly desirable.
