About the job
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join one of our Development Teams in Melbourne in Australia. The team is mainly based in Melbourne, but you could be anywhere in Australia. You will be working as part of a high performing cross-functional team on a large Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) system. You will be growing the most widely used online collaboration platform in the world for Construction, Infrastructure, Energy, and Resources projects. Through collaboration and good engineering principles, you will be building new, valuable functionality whilst continuously improving the design, security, scalability, and reliability of the platform. We are strong believers in automation. We aspire to have all provisioning and deployment, from CI through to production, fully automated and we expect our engineers to design software with this level of automation in mind.

Experience with infrastructure as code practices through Terraform, Ansible, Puppet or similar.
Experience with Linux/Unix based environments.
Experience with coding & shell scripting using languages such as Python, Bash, Ruby, YAML.
Experience with cloud-based system architecture, components, and deployments (AWS, Azure or Oracle Cloud).
Experience with container administration and development using Kubernetes, Docker, or similar.
Experience with managing production issues, and effectively troubleshooting and communicating to stakeholders.
Desirable Attributes
Experience with complex micro-service ecosystem with inter-dependent services.
Experience with maintaining deployment pipelines for different types of environments.
Experience with developing and maintaining operations playbooks and tools.
Experience with logging, monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana.
Experience in HashiCorp products such as Consul, Vault and Nomad.
Knowledge of security principles, compliance, and best practices.
Experience working with distributed teams.
Experience in mentoring other engineers.
