About The Role
We currently have an opportunity available for an experienced
Health Safety, Environment & Quality Advisor. The role is full time and permanent, working within a close-knit team environment and reporting to the National HSEQ Manager. The role will require intra/inter-state travel.
Key Duties And Responsibilities Include
- Provide a high standard of professional advice and support to frontline operational staff, managers and WHS committees
- Conduct auditing/inspections in accordance with the internal audit schedule to ensure compliance with current legislation, ISO standards and dangerous goods licensing
- Support and coach branch managers in conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Be proactive, promote HSEQ and continuously help improve the business
- Be visible across the branches, workplaces and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders by spending time in the field.
- Ensure that a high safety standard is maintained in all activities, through the design, administration and evaluation of training and awareness programs
- Integrate and manage the ongoing development and maintenance of third-party certification
- Generate monthly HSEQ reporting, statistical analysis and interpretation of incident reporting data
- Assist in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Supagas Emergency Response Plans and capability
- Assist the team with internal and external HSEQ policy and procedure review to ensure functional compliance
- Coordinate HSEQ within your region to ensure compliance with predetermined standards and operational procedures (interstate travel is required)

Key Skills and Experience:
- Formal qualification with a preferred Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Experience with internal auditing programs (ICAM or equivalent)
- Well-developed communication skills and influencing change.
- Sound knowledge of current legislation, industry standards and codes.
- A result orientated person with a strong attention to detail.
- Valid Australian Drivers licence
