Family owned and operated since 1958, Vertikote Group is one of the largest and most experienced powder coating & industrial paint operators in Australia. With multiple production lines operating powder coating and liquid paint systems, Vertikote is the leading “one-stop-shop” for all architectural, industrial and domestic applications.
As the accredited coater of choice for our customers, this important role is responsible for the performance of all factory production at our Chipping Norton (NSW) facility to produce quality work including responsibility for:
- Safety & Environment
- Performance and supervision of workers
- Controlling work in progress,
- Implementation of efficient work practices to optimise factory performance
- Manage chemical pre-treatment systems
- Operating plant and equipment settings
- Managing consumables and packing
This key role requires a "Hands On" manager with proven labour management skills, ability to allocate and control production work and other factory resources. There will considerable interface with the Sales and the Scheduling/ Logistics teams.
Qualifications & experience
- Production management background
- Strong leadership skills
- Managing multiple production teams
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Highly organised and process systems focused
- Cost and efficiency management
- Strong understanding of OHS&E requirements
- Minimum of 5 years working in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude operating large scale plant & equipment
- High levels of computer literacy
Tasks & responsibilities
- Overall Factory Production Performance
- Managing, coaching and mentoring a large team, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
- Develop and implement operational procedures and policies
- Manage cost of production while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- Produce work with high quality coating finishes
- Address operational issues, monitoring overall customer satisfaction
- Provide direction on a daily basis to multiple production teams

Pay: $115,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
