About the role
You will be part of a multidisciplinary manufacturing team operating with a start-up ethos but with the support and resources of a larger corporation.
This role is suited to a talented, hands-on Joiner/Cabinetmaker and involves all aspects of office furniture manufacturing and assembly. You need to be creative, driven and have a desire to succeed when presented with challenges outside your current knowledge base. A strong practical and theoretical background is essential together with a good work ethic.
Skills and experience Required
· Trade qualification in cabinetmaking or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
· Proven experience in the design, implementation, operation and training on a range of technologies
· Demonstrated experience of "hands on" projects
· Experience following a design process
· Ability to read and understand complex design drawings and requirements
· Experience in understanding and operating high-end Timber Board Storage Systems, CNC, Edgebanding, Cutting and drilling technologies would be an advantage
Job Role
· Understand all aspects of commercial joinery and manufacturing procedures
· Ensure high standards are achieved
· Assemble cabinetry Joinery components
· Use a range of hand tools
· Be responsible for producing quality product
· Run Parts on CNC.
· Complete Construction / setup ready for install.
· Read construction drawings / problem solve.
· Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously
Key Incumbent requirements:
· Ideally you have worked in the manufacturing industry
· Minimum 3 years’ experience working in cabinetmaking/joinery
· 3 years+ experience as a qualified joiner/cabinetmaker (Cert III or equivalent)
· A recognised problem solver, with a track record of success using a structured approach
· Experienced with design, manufacturing / business process development
· Good communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
· A history of taking accountability for objectives and their outcomes
· A responsible attitude to working safely and building the safety culture.
· A commitment to lifelong learning and development.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
