Responsibilities
The duties and tasks that engineering roles with Mackenzie Environmental may comprise include;
Field works at landfill sites and other brown and green field sites comprising any of the following;
o Full time Construction Quality Assurance supervision of earthworks and geosynthetic lining installation
o Environmental monitoring of groundwater and landfill gas
o Sampling of potentially contaminated soils
o Travel and overnight stay for extended periods of time in rural locations
o Extended working hours which are typically 7am to 5pm
o Need to stay away from home for work at remote sites
Office based tasks comprising
o Preparation of reports and other deliverables using Microsoft Word
o Preparation of figures and drawings using AutoCAD
o Undertaking computer modelling and design calculations
o Delivering assigned tasks in a time effective manner
Qualifications
We are looking for engineers with:
· 0-5 years experience
· Bachelor/masters in Civil or Environmental Engineering (mandatory)
· An interest in one or both of geotechnical and environmental engineering
· A commitment to quality assurance and safety
· Drivers Licence (Mandatory)
