Oakwood Bathrooms are a local carpentry company, passionate about providing high quality service in all areas of our business. Specialising in internal renovations, we currently service the Macarthur, Wollondilly and Southern Highlands regions, with a growing pipeline of work.
About the role
Oakwood Bathrooms are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year) to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful applicant will work side by side with our fully qualified tradesmen in a hands-on learning environment. You will be educated in all aspects of carpentry.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Learning and working in general building and carpentry work including but not limited to: Structural and non-structural carpentry; bathroom, kitchen and laundry renovations; decks and pergolas; doors and windows.
- Engage confidently with clients and subcontractors
- Collaborate with skilled tradespeople to contribute to the successful completion of projects.
- Be respectful and courteous whilst working in clients’ homes.
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite, adhering to safety standards and regulations at all times.
Requirements:
- Must have white card/OHS construction card.
- Must have minimum of P1 drivers licence. Trade vehicle is preferred but not essential for 1st year applicants.
- Some tools will be supplied, however there is an expectation that cordless and hand tools will be purchased throughout the life of the apprenticeship.
- You must be enrolled in (or willing to enrol in) a Cert III Carpentry course at TAFE NSW.
- Strong work ethic, reliable and great attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both on their own and as part of a team.
