Civmec has secured ongoing services completing BHP Maintenance and Shutdown works. The scope of works includes Civil, SMP, Electrical and Instrumentation projects and shutdowns located across the Pilbara, from Port Hedland to Newman.

Commencing early November, these roles consist of a start to finish construction of concrete ground slabs for a mine site storage facility located in the Pilbara region.

This is a great opportunity for experienced Carpenters to join the team working on a variety of different scopes on a series of shutdowns. This shutdown is for approx. 2 weeks' duration starting end October.

The Role

Mark and line out formwork
Erect and dismantle formwork as instructed
Perform second fixing
Assist with steel fixing when required
Interpret drawings and specifications
Complete placing of concrete
Carry out planning tasks as requested
Perform other general duties as required

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

Nationally recognised Trade Certification in Carpentry & Joinery (essential)
minimum 2+ years' industry experience working as a Carpenter
Previous civil construction experience within the mining and resources sectors (preferable)
HRWL with EWP (over 11 meters)
Valid Working at Heights certification (preferable)
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and in the Pilbara weather
Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness card (White Card)
Previous BHP Project experience highly regarded
