Temporary works manager - Are you the perfect fit?
This position is responsible for temporary works for a major construction site (Ontario Metro Line South with 6 underground stations, 1 station at grate, 2 TBM for 2*5,8km, cavity excavation) which includes:
- The internal coordination with methods and construction teams to identify the required temporary works and define all constraints and requirements
- The external coordination with an independent local designer to optimize the proposed design and ensure that all requirements are covered
What you will undertake:
- Concrete works: formwork, scaffolding, propping from Doka, Peri… or specified tools developed on site,
- Steel structures: working platform, supporting platform, balustrade, pedestrian accesses, support of utilities
- Access: suspended staircases, temporary lift, temporary ventilation
- Tunnel boring machine and logistics

Software:
Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience in front-line engineering/construction project
Knowledge of construction methods for underground/infrastructure project,
Technical Background With Previous Design Experience Is Preferred,
Sound and working knowledge of various temporary works elements:
- Concrete works: formwork, scaffolding, propping from Doka, Peri… or specified tools developed on site,

Ontario Line South
Our team is mobilizing its design and construction crews, with major works to commence in 2023. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.
The project will strengthen Ontario’s economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.
What is the project?
- A six-kilometre tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River)
- Stations:
- One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station
- Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations
- Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown.
