Team Leader | Full-Time | Field Operations Vestas has an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager Installation within the construction team.
There are multiple projects across Australia and New Zealand. As a Site Manager Installation, you will work closely with the Site Manager Construction and lead a team of Supervisors. You will work on the Region 1 Installation and commissioning site and manage day-to-day Site Installation planning, leading and co-ordination of WTG installation activities. Comply with legal requirements, construction and safety codes, and other regulations.
Region APC> Construction & Operations>Installation and CommissioningResponsibilities • Implement and manage all safety practices and protocols within Vestas's organizational standards toensure compliance and optimal safety results with a team that demonstrates safe behaviours.
• Achieves a culture of excellence (safety focus, structure, work discipline) and continuous improvement with the site organization to advance capability and performance in all operational areas.
• Lead and develop a team that models Vestas values and high standards of performance.
• Provide effective leadership that achieves a highly aligned, engaged, and motivated installation team that produces high-level results against Key Performance Indicators and Operational Objectives.
• Manage material coordination of WTG components, required availability of tools, and subcontractor's manpower.
• Prioritize installation sequence and liaison with the Construction Manager.
• Work closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure progress as per the project schedule.
• Maintaining quality control procedures
• Responsible for first notification of NCR and implementation of needed actions to solve issues.
• Responsible for as-built documentation.
• Follow-up on delivery schedules and shipping coordination, control, registration approval of arriving goods, and goods received notes.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
• Meet contractual conditions of performance by reviewing the work progress daily
• Prepare internal and external reports to communicate progress
• Plan to prevent problems and resolve any emerging challenges
• Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks
Qualifications • Minimum 5 years in the wind industry and extensive field experience
• Experience in providing general administrative support.
• Advanced IT skills, e.g. MS Office, MS Project user or key user.
Competencies • Responsible for first notification of NCR and implementation of needed actions to solve issues.
• Manage material coordination of WTG components, required availability of tools, and subcontractor's manpower.
• Strong understanding of the financial impact of decisions with respect to project budgets andorganization objectives.
• Demonstrated leadership ability in coaching, mentoring, motivating, and developing employees to achieve a highly aligned, motivated, and engaged team.
• Demonstrated continuous improvement and quality methodology skills.
• Valid driver's license, passport, and ability to travel as needed to meet business objectives.
