JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood is currently recruiting an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer (Rotating & Static) to join our Operations APAC (West) business in Perth, Western Australia. This is a long-term opportunity to join our expanding Oil and Gas Operations team, due to recently securing a significant project with a major player in the LNG industry.
Wood's Operations APAC (West) business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimization, and technical services to the Oil & Gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with the region's most prominent producers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory, Southeast Asia and Kazakhstan.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the Mechanical Team Lead, you will be working as a part of an integrated team to provide support for brownfields Oil & Gas packages.

QUALIFICATIONS
Please note you must be an Australian citizen or currently hold Permanent Residency (PR) and able to work lawfully in Australia without company sponsorship.
Suitably qualified in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution with a minimum of 7 + years with relevant industry experience, you will have:
- Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry on brownfields projects within an Engineering / EPCM office or gas processing facilities
- In-depth technical mechanical knowledge - design and operation
- Extensive design and knowledge of applicable codes and standards (both international and Australian)
- Ability to manage risk during the design process consistent with technical and commercial requirements
- Excellent analytical, literacy and numerical skills
- Proven experience managing small teams of Engineers
- Excellent communication skills with proven experience in client facing roles
