About the business
Coco L Construction is a construction company which provides labour, materials, plant, equipment and ancillary items to carry out the Framing, Cladding, Ceiling, Partitions & Carpentry work for various construction projects.
Due to expanding of our business, we are now seeking for full-time carpenters and bricklayers to join our growing team.
About the role
Duties/Responsibilities: For Carpenter
- study drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
- select and order timbers and materials, and preparing layouts
- cut materials, assemble and nail cut and shaped parts
- erect framework and roof framing, lay sub-flooring and floorboards
- nail fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding and door and window frames
- assemble prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install
- construct, erect, install, renovate and repair structures and fixtures of wood, wallboard and other materials
Duties/Responsibilities: For Bricklayer
- study plans and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
- erect and dismantle restricted height scaffolding
- seal foundations with damp-resistant materials and spreading layers of mortar to serve as base and binder for blocks using trowels
- lay bricks in rows, designs and shapes, and spreading mortar between joints
- embed blocks in mortar and remove excess mortar
- check vertical and horizontal alignment
- cut, shape and polish bricks using machines and hand tools, and shape bricks to fit irregular spaces
- construct and repair walls, partitions, arches and other structures

Skills and experience
- AQF Certificate III (or equivalent)
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely
- Hard working, enthusiastic and high attention to detail
